AG Mednet is the company behind Judi, a clinical trial optimization platform. Judi is where the work of a trial gets done, across sponsors, CROs, AROs, core labs and sites. Judi runs workflows for eligibility, imaging, DSMB, remote source data verification and adjudication, along with user qualification, IRB, screening coordination, document development, 24/7 medical monitoring, clinical safety, protocol deviations and steering committee. In 2005, a medical image could not move from one organization to another without a disc and a courier. It was slow, but everyone accepted it. As someone who had spent his career connecting networks that were never built to talk to each other, Abraham Gutman, founder and CEO, knew it was solvable. So he solved it.
Two years later, a doctor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital called with a harder version of the same problem. Clinical trials moved images between organizations that changed with every study, on timelines that could not wait. We said yes, and 20 years later we are still saying yes.
By 2015, we recognized a broader challenge. Too many trials were managed manually through email and spreadsheets, making the entire process sluggish, overly complicated and prone to error.
To solve this, we partnered with experts across the industry to build and launch the Judi platform. We designed Judi to orchestrate complex clinical trial workflows, replacing fragmented manual work with a configurable and secure infrastructure.
Today the challenge is AI: everyone wants it, but few know how to defend its outcomes. Our Judi platform is governing AI now, so our clients are putting it to work and still proving every decision. Whatever comes next, we will find the hard problems and solve them.

Abraham founded AG Mednet in 2005 after selling his previous company to AT&T. He is a technologist with 35 years of experience in the conception, implementation and sales of advanced software systems and platforms in fields including Telecommunications and Life Sciences. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Cornell, and an M.S. in Computer Science (AI) from Yale.
JP brings with him over 15 years of experience in the technology space, where he has developed a reputation for driving transformation, efficiency, and scalability in high-growth organizations. JP joins AG Mednet from Common Energy in New York, where he served as COO of the community solar startup that manages solar farms on behalf of solar developers. Prior to that, he worked with world-renowned consulting firms McKinsey & Company and Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG). JP holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Doug joined AG Mednet in 2008 bringing to the company his vast experience in the design, development and release of fault-tolerant, high-availability systems. Architecting Judi for scale and reliability, Doug has been a pioneer in the industry in bringing advanced cloud technology to ensure both scale and cost efficiencies, incorporating advanced cloud tools for network monitoring, fast release processes and advanced storage solutions. Doug previously held managerial positions at Stratus Computer, DEC and Maptech. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
Mike joined AG Mednet in 2021. A global business executive at IBM for 20 years, Svinte had leadership responsibilities for a multibillion-dollar healthcare and life sciences business. He led numerous global IBM healthcare initiatives, including launch of IBM Watson Health, led WW business development for IBM Life Sciences, and led IBM’s Information-Based Medicine startup health venture. Mike also led commercial teams as SVP for Medidata and CCO for SAP Health. He began his career at P&G in brand management and holds a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan School of Business.
Jamie joined AG Mednet in 2018 and brings more than 15 years of Life Sciences experience across Oncology, Cardiometabolic, CNS, and Immunology. They have led the deployment of more than 100 clinical trial protocols and technology setups, supporting drug approvals and the development of regulatory-approved eCOA forms. At AG Mednet, Jamie leads Trial Delivery, guiding teams in configuring, testing, and deploying trial technology solutions on the Judi platform. A respected thought leader in clinical technology, Jamie has contributed to industry publications on eCOA and patient engagement.
Jason joined AG Mednet in 2017 with more than a decade of software engineering experience. He has held leadership roles in quality engineering and played a central role in strengthening the software release process and advancing AG Mednet’s software development lifecycle. His previous experience includes roles at Catalina Marketing, VFA, and Infosys. Jason holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Syracuse University and continues to drive technology innovation and service excellence at AG Mednet.
Josue joined AG Mednet in 2019 with more than 25 years of experience in software support and technology. Throughout his career, he has built and mentored award-winning support teams at leading technology companies, including Akamai Technologies and high-growth startups in the Boston and Cambridge area. At AG Mednet, Josue leads a world-class support team providing 24/7 assistance to pharmaceutical and clinical research organizations. He studied Computer Science at Wentworth Institute of Technology and brings extensive leadership experience to AG Mednet’s commitment to service excellence.
With deep expertise in sales operations, David brings more than three decades of experience driving results across the healthcare and technology sectors. Throughout his career, he’s helped organizations—from major healthcare players like Quest Diagnostics and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, to biotech startups such as Amwell—advance efficiency and achieve significant, year-over-year revenue growth. At the heart of David’s work is a passion for building high-performance teams and delivering solutions that create measurable impact and delight clients. David’s leadership fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and sustained commercial success.
Mary Lou joined AG Mednet in 2025 from OpenClinica, where as Senior Director of B2B Marketing she built the marketing function from inception and drove the demand generation behind more than 90 percent of the sales pipeline. Earlier she led inbound and proposal marketing at Geneia, LLC, a data analytics subsidiary of Capital Blue Cross. At AG Mednet, Mary Lou leads global marketing and business development, owning brand, positioning, go-to-market strategy and the pipeline that feeds commercial growth, including how Judi is found and represented in AI search. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
Jamie Russo, Head of Product and Services at AG Mednet, drives product strategy and innovation across the Judi portfolio, including AI-enabled solutions across the Judi ecosystem. With over a decade of experience in healthcare and technology, Jamie previously held product leadership roles at PathAI, where she served as Associate Director of Platform Product Management, and Massachusetts General Hospital, where she coordinated clinical research trials in oncology and cardiovascular research. Her expertise spans product management, clinical operations, and the intersection of technology and clinical research. Jamie holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from Middlebury College.
With 29 years of clinical research experience, Cathy has overseen delivery of more than 2,000 clinical trials, including complex megatrials across diverse therapeutic areas. She has led functional departments spanning clinical safety, 24/7 medical monitoring, clinical and ancillary supply services, vendor management and oversight group management, which encompasses the coordination of centralized Eligibility Committees, Adjudication Committees, Data Safety Monitoring Boards, core laboratories, steering committees and other expert panels. Cathy has led a number of enterprise and process optimization initiatives and has made significant contributions to industry thought leadership and best practice guidance throughout her career. Cathy is a seasoned senior business leader who is dedicated to delivering strategic insights and practical, creative solutions in the clinical trial space.
Ricardo Valdes Ramos is Head of Quality & Regulatory Compliance at AG Mednet. He holds a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and brings experience as a Risk Consulting Supervisor and Computer Software Assurance Manager. Ricardo leads AG Mednet’s commitment to rigorous quality standards and regulatory compliance while developing AI-powered tools to modernize regulatory monitoring. A fluent Spanish speaker and former member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard, he brings a disciplined, global perspective to quality and compliance.

AG Mednet’s Judi platform reduces queries by catching incomplete and non-conforming submissions at the point of submission, not days later when someone downstream opens the file. Most queries come from preventable gaps: a missing document, an incomplete form, an image that does not meet protocol requirements. Judi applies the protocol’s requirements as work arrives, so the gap surfaces with the person who can still fix it. What would have become a query that takes weeks gets resolved in hours.
Yes. Judi is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and holds active certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, including the UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. DPF. The SOC 2 examination is an independent CPA review of the design and operating effectiveness of our security controls, performed every year since 2021, with no exceptions noted in the most recent report. Judi operates as a data processor and business associate on behalf of sponsors and CROs, and is designed and validated to support your 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA and GDPR obligations, covering electronic records and signatures, audit trails and access controls. Trial data is collected, processed and reviewed in a validated, access-controlled platform, with every action captured in a timestamped audit trail. AG Mednet supports client security questionnaires, vendor assessments and audits as part of standard engagement, and can share evidence on request.
AG Mednet approaches AI in two ways: the native AI-assisted capabilities built into Judi, and the governance Judi applies to any AI a client brings into a trial. Both are human-governed, so a person makes every decision and every action is recorded.
Native AI-assisted PHI redaction. AI identifies potential PHI and PII and proposes redactions, and a person confirms every one, either singly or in bulk. It speeds the repetitive work so reviewers spend their time on the decision, and every clinical judgment stays with a human.
AI governance. AI is arriving in clinical trials faster than the controls around it. Regulators will still ask who authorized an action, whether that authorization was in place at the time, and where the decision trail is two years later. Judi handles this by treating an AI system as a participant in the workflow. When your team builds or licenses an AI application, it enters a Judi journey the way a person or an integrated system does. It is assigned to specific steps, given explicit permissions, held to review and approval gates where a human signs off, and written into the same audit trail as every other action. The controls you already apply to human decisions apply to machine ones.
