Meet Roxana Figueroa, Software Quality Assurance Engineer
What brought you to AG Mednet?
I have always been drawn to the healthcare field, clinical trials, and biotechnology. I am passionate about doing something that is meaningful to the community, which is exactly what I do here at AG Mednet.
What do you like most about the company and your job?
The culture, diversity, and how well we all connect and work together. My team, colleagues, and leaders are amazing, wonderful people. I also like the flexibility I have in my job, which is important to me as a mom of two toddlers—to maintain a healthy work-life balance. And last, the location. AG Mednet headquarters is right in the city of Boston, by the North End, with the best waterfront views and where you can walk anywhere, from dining, shopping, entertainment, and parks. I love coming to the office!
What’s on your headphones now—what music is on your playlist?
A little bit of everything, from jazz, classical, to electronic. But currently listening to Cole Porter, as I recently watched “Midnight in Paris.” I loved that movie. Fun fact, Porter attended Worcester Academy in Massachusetts back in 1905 to become a lawyer, but he brought with him his piano. He then attended Yale, where he wrote over 300 songs.
Any career advice for people starting in this industry?
Take the time to meet your peers, see what each one is working on and evaluate what you can do to make things better. This has a great impact in bringing teams together to work more efficiently.
