Meet Dennis Abelleira, Solutions Specialist

What brought you to AG Mednet?

While studying at Brandeis University, I had the unique opportunity to support AG Mednet as a summer intern performing marketing consulting solutions right as the Judi Platform was being considered for development and launch. We conducted market research, and presented our findings and recommendations to the CEO, Abraham Gutman, who genuinely valued our effort and solutions. From there, I kept in close contact with Abraham throughout my early career, and seven years later, we were both lucky enough to re-engage on another opportunity to work together in 2022. After learning more about the industry, and how AG Mednet was solving critical challenges within clinical trial and imaging needs, I was thrilled to rejoin AG Mednet as a full-time employee. Relationships and keeping in touch with your network is everything, and that's exactly what brought me back to AG Mednet, and I couldn't be happier.

What do you like most about the company and your job?

I'm split between the daily impact we see from supporting our clients and their clinical studies, and also the people I work with on a daily basis. The culture here is collaborative, and feeds right into the services we provide for our clients who leverage our Judi Platform to collaborate with others and do their best work, while delivering new therapies to patients with unmet medical needs.

What’s on your headphones now—what music is on your playlist?

I've been on a Paramore kick lately, I think it's nostalgia from my younger years growing up. Otherwise, my playlist is random and encompasses all music, so long as I like the song!

Any career advice for people starting in this industry?

Continue learning and be a sponge for information—there's so much happening in the industry, that it's thoroughly exciting to hear about different indications and clinical assets being tested to innovate our therapies for unmet needs and improve upon existing therapies. The industry itself can be learned after some time because it's so highly regulated, and from there, you'll always be able to continue learning about different treatments, and asking different experts questions will usually result in greater and greater knowledge around the diverse kinds of clinical trials currently happening.
