Bloomberg Law examines the new guidance and legislation designed to increase diversity and equity in clinical trials.
Cyrano Therapeutics is developing a nasal spray to combat post-viral smell loss (hyposmia), which currently has no FDA approved therapies. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, eight million people in the United States and Europe had hyposmia, which has now increased to 40 million. Cyrano's trial is expected to enroll patients at 20 clinical sites. (Clinical Trials Arena)
DM Clinical Research opened a trial site in the Boston region and will begin recruiting for Moderna’s cytomegalovirus vaccine study. Jose Azocar, M.D., Ph.D., was named lead principal investigator at the site, and Amy Sheets will serve as regional director. DM Clinical operates 13 dedicated sites and a network of affiliates.
