Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved emergency use of the bivalent Moderna COVID-19 vaccine booster, and the bivalent Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster, for younger age groups.
The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced a clinical trial for a vaccine to fight the current Ebola outbreak in Uganda. In that country there are now 19 confirmed Ebola fatalities and 54 cases. (Reuters)
NPR's Morning Edition explores how artificial intelligence may assist in diagnosing illness based on collected voice data. The National Institutes of Health is funding this research as part of its $100 million Bridge to AI program.
